Haley Stevens
Central High School Graduate, 2009
Haley Stevens was your typical teenage girl. She loved theater, dance, singing and marching with the Central High School Kilties. All of this changed in 2007 when she began falling, having difficulty writing and experiencing tremors. After many months of tests, Haley was diagnosed with ALS (most commonly known as Lou Gerhig's disease). The progression of the disease left Haley unable to move or speak but her mind remained strong. Her mother, CHS Theater teacher, Gretchen Teague worked to make sure that her daughter's opinions were heard and her lifed lived to the fullest. On September 3, 2009 Haley lost her battle with ALS.
